I doubt that a mailing list will do much good. With access to the member database you are able to extract the emailaddresses and with them you can send a mail to all your members using the bcc field mutch the same way as it is done with the Flaschenpost. If you use a mailinglist, you need to urge your members to register on this list or you need to administer the addresses by yourself which will give you additional workload.

Yes please.
We want to try different ways to communicate because we just started the association and we don't know what our members like more.
The forum for example is not so used.
Most of all we are not so much (approx 35 people), so we can use the mailing list to coordinate the initial workgroups better than other tools not so ready-to-use like Redmine.
We will also create a newsletter (like the PPS message in a bottle) but we must try the mailing list.
If the Pirates from Ticino will not like it we will stop it but we have to try.
Hope this is not a problem at all, if so please just tell us and we will find some alternatives.

I've been inserted as Project Member but I must be Project Leader to modify members, insert tasks, etc.

You will also have the right to access the members database and see the entries of your members. For that you need some certificates which you need to generate and get them signed by exception. See {{kb(8)}} for further information.

We didn't receive the database yet.

Perfect, thanks for your collaboration.
I think the only thing still open is the Ticino's members database.
We still don't have access to it and no one told us how to access to it.
Is someone taking care of this?
