Description

Test system: Windows XP home, no .net framework pre-installed, no PiVote installed

How to reproduce:
  • Download Windows PiVote installer 1.0.9.0
  • Double click on the PiVote installer
  • A popup appears: "Tjos setup requires the .NET Framework v.3.5. Please install the .NET Framework and run this setup again. The .NET Framework can be obtained from the web. Would you like to do this now?"
  • click "Yes"
  • the default browser starts redirecting to the .NET Framework v.4.0 installer
If only .NET Framework v.4.0 is installed (i.e. the user tried to install that one)
  • for the PiVote installer the popup will appear again.
  • for the PiVote portable a cryptic popup will appear.

Conclusion: The user has to search hirself for the right installer. The PiVote installer will confuse the user at the moment.
