Description

Cannot print certificates on openSUSE. There are no error messages, everything looks fine, but the printer won’t print anything. After a long timeout, the printer prints: «Unable to open the initial device, quitting.»

  • openSUSE 11.4 (also reproduced with 11.3)
  • Mono 2.8.2
  • Using hpijs proprietary HP driver to access the printer (LaserJet 1022n)

Printing to a PostScript file and printing that one using a viewer works fine.
