The policy working group was conceived as the interface between the pirates and the political work of the board. Due to recent resignations this group is without leadership.

I propose to the chair to re-initiate this working group with some changes to its inner workings:

• Since this should be a main political thinktank working with the presidents, I request you to propose a time and day of the week, where at least one or two presidents could participate at its meetings. My suggestions are tuesday or wednesday at 20:00 hours.
• At each meeting the group should discuss a current political topic and publish a (short) "Polit-Blog" post on our website with the consensus or pro and contra arguments on the topic.
• Each meeting may be used as an opportunity to present the current working state of position papers and request the opinions of the party members present at the meeting. The work on the papers should probably be done outside of the policy meetings.
• At one of the future meetings a new working group leader should be elected. The coordinator shall prepare an updated working group specification and will lead the working group until a new leader is elected.

I invite you to change this proposal as you see fit, since its your working group after all. ;)
