The dedicated Linux zip file in
http://dev.piratenpartei.ch/attachments/download/152/PiVote_Client_Linux_x86_1.0.7.0.zip
contains an *.exe executable.
$ file Pirate.PiVote.Client.exe

The .exe is a .NET/Mono binary. To execute it you must install mono from your favourite repository or from http://www.mono-project.com/Main_Page as well as the GNU Multiprecision Library (libgmp). Then you can run the .exe with the command "mono Pirate.Pivote.Client.exe" from your favourite shell.

Nun, das ist ein Linux Binary! Starts mal mit "mono xxxx.exe".
