Wrong rendering of umlauts in the update dialog
Added by Anonymous about 14 years ago.
Updated almost 12 years ago.
Start date:

Request Type:
Feature Request
Description
When first started (V 1.0.0), the software pointed out that there is a new version of it available. The corresponding dialog (see attached screenshot) had wrong umlaut encoding.
I'm aware that this is a behavior of an old version, but i had no means of testing it on the new version so i give it a shot anyway.

Edit: I used Version 1.0.1.0 as can be seen in the screenshot, sorry.
Edit 2: Oh, fyi i used the Linux version, but i assume this problem must be present on all versions since .net apps are supposed to be portable, right?
- Category changed from Texts & Translation to Usability
- Target version set to PiVote 1.0.4.0
It a linux specific problem since the default font for mono on linux does not support umlauts. I replaced the default font for every other dialog earlier. It might not be so easy for this one as this really is only a message box. But i'll see if I can change this.
