target _blank¶

The discussion is pretty onesided, _blank does enforce a certain way of using the webpage instead of the user chosing it. It is also not XHTML conform.

A general usage of the _blank target was voted unanimous against.

Vote 1: General usage of the _blank tag: 5 NO, 0 YES no abstentions. Vote 2: Usage for the interlinks between Wiki/Forum/Drupal 3 NO, 2 YES.

At the moment the suggestion is: Use your mouse.

Simon Rupf suggested the usage of a FAQ entry.

There is a general consensus that we like to have such subdomains. The question is what we need and what we like to have. Apophis will discuss this further with Pascal (BE) and gets in Contact with Ghoja for a better DNS solution.
